Flax encourages your adrenal glands to make DHEA, which is also know as dehydroepiandosterone - this abbreviation you can appreciate! Optimal levels of DHEA help you improve focus, short and long term memory. People with memory problems have been found to be deficient in DHEA by almost 50%.

When you buy flax, make sure it is organic flax oil or flaxseed. When using flaxseed, grind it per use at home in a clean coffee grinder. Pre-ground flax may already be rancid. Store any unused ground or whole flaxseed or oil in the fridge until use to prevent rancidity. If the flaxseed isn't ground, your body can't breakdown the flax outer shell to benefit from the just ends up being fiber.
