What are Cruciferous Vegetables?

Here are some common Cruciferous vegetables:

  • Bok Choy

  • Broccoli

  • Brussels Sprouts

  • Cabbage

  • Cauliflower

  • Daikon Radish

  • Horseradish

  • Kale

  • Kohlrabi

  • Maca

  • Radish

  • Rutabaga

  • Turnip

  • Watercress

Most cruciferous vegetables are rich in folate, vitamin K, A and C. They also contain phytonutrients to help lower inflammation throughout the body.


Cruciferous vegetables are very effective in supporting and cleansing the liver which is necessary for everyone. They have been found to reduce the risk of cancer and support a body with cancer.


If you have a thyroid condition, steam, sauté, or quick boil cruciferous vegetables to remove the goitrogenic properties (so your body's can still absorb iodine) and maintain all other nutrients.
